Fayette County Attorney Angela Evans Appointed to Inaugural Kentucky Child Support Advisory Council

LEXINGTON, KY (Aug. 22, 2025)­— Fayette County Attorney Angela Evans has been appointed by Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman to the state’s first-ever Child Support Advisory Council, where she will help shape policies impacting thousands of families across the Commonwealth. Evans is one of ten County Attorneys selected from across the Commonwealth for this prestigious appointment, chosen for their leadership and expertise in serving Kentucky families.

The newly formed council will advise the Attorney General’s office on child support policies and initiatives, aiming to improve the effectiveness and fairness of the system for thousands of families statewide.

“I am honored by Attorney General Coleman’s appointment and the trust he has placed in me to represent Fayette County on this vital council,” said County Attorney Angela Evans. “Our office sees the daily impact of child support on the lives of thousands of children. I look forward to collaborating with my colleagues from across the Commonwealth to strengthen the system and ensure it effectively and compassionately serves Kentucky’s families.”
